The Business Administration Apprentice post offers an exciting opportunity to be part of an extremely busy administrative function on a placement rota within the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences, which is based over two sites.

The post holder will have a flexible approach to support the business needs of the faculty. Key tasks will include support to staff, diary and email management, assisting with the organising of meetings, copy typing and audiotyping, organising travel and accommodation, setting up of new systems and general administration activities.

Under the direction of the relevant supervisor in the area of placement the post holder will undertake a development work-based role, providing general administrative support within the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences and will have the opportunity to undertake vocational, job-based study, as part of the Apprenticeship scheme.

You should have a minimum of GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above, or equivalent qualifications, as well as experience of using all applications within MS Office. Ability to use
e-mail and the Internet are essential, alongside excellent communication and problem solving skills.

You will be guided and supported to achieve an apprenticeship at NVQ level 2 during the course of your employment.

This position will commence in February 2019 for a period of 18 months.
