Media Technician (0.5fte)

Grade 4 Starting salary: £19,730 (pro rata)

This post represents an exciting opportunity for an individual with an interest in supporting a specialist Media facility to join a team of staff in Keele University’s School of Humanities.
This is a fractional post (0.5) on a permanent contract. Your working hours can be flexible and will be agreed with your Line Manager, but initially you would be expected to work two full days and one afternoon per week. You will provide technical assistance to staff and students, perform a range of technical and administrative duties, assist with loaning out equipment to staff and students and to help with aspects of the maintenance of media equipment and computer hardware and software.

You will have at least 4 GCSEs (C or above), including Maths and English (or equivalent qualificators or experience); will be proficient in the use of Apple Mac computers, be an effective team player and have a commitment to the provision of an excellent administrative service. Familiarity of Adobe software is also desirable.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high level of accuracy with good attention to detail, and the ability to work in a busy customer focused environment are essential.
