Good Evening All

The 2019-20 Keele Physics Centre public lecture programme has now been finalised. Please find a copy below and attached.

The lectures (FREE) take place at 19:00 in LJ1.75, Lennard Jones Laboratories, Keele University, ST5 5BG
Please note this is a slightly earlier start time than in previous years!

10th October 2019: Dr. Barry Cook (Anaporia Ltd): Spacecraft - A brief look at technology in satellites 
7th November 2019: Prof. Isobel Hook (Lancaster University) - Distant supernovae to measure the effects of dark energy 
5th December 2019: Prof. Fabrice Laussy (University of Wolverhampton) - The most important experiment in physics: the double slit experiment
23rd January 2020: Dr. Mark Read (University of Birmingham) - Nuclear fuel & waste encapsulation
20th February 2020: David Wilkinson (Nottingham Trent University) - To c or not to c – physics in science fiction writing  
12th March 2020: Dr. Alison Laird (University of York) - Making a star in a lab  
30th April 2020: Dr. Kostas Nikolopoulos (University of Birmingham) - In search for the origin of mass

FREE Tea and coffee will be available in the Lennard Jones Foyer from 6.00p.m.
Talks start at 7.00pm and are followed by Q&A
These talks are open to the public and are sponsored by the West Midlands Branch of the IoP
