'Aspects of Social Investigation' seminars and exhibition

Postby A.N. Gill » Tue Oct 20, 2009 9:31 am

The Foundations of Sociology (LePlay) Archive, held in Keele's Special Collections and Archives is currently being catalogued, with generous funding from The Sociological Review. To celebrate this a series of seminars headed 'Aspects of Social Investigation' is beginning tomorrow, Wednesday 21st October. The first in the series is a talk from guest speaker Prof David Matless from the University of Nottingham, entitled 'Geographical Outlooks: Patrick Geddes, LePlay House and the LePlay Society' which will be held in room CM0.12 of the Claus Moser building beginning at 5.15pm.

To accompany the seminars there will be an exhibition held in the ground floor foyer and first floor landing of the Claus Moser. This will give visitors a chance to learn more about the archive's holdings and to see some of the fantastic material it contains.

The seminars and exhibition have been kindly funded by the Keele Key Fund. If you would like more information about this and future seminars please see the attached flyer.
