ASSISTANT SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Grade 4 Starting salary £19,730 – Fixed term 2 years

This post represents an exciting opportunity to join a team of staff in Keele University’s highly rated School of Medicine.

You will work on the design, development and support of software within a team of developers under the management and guidance of the Lead for Learning Technology & Software Development and the Deputy ICT Services Manager. You will help work on mobile web/app development for Android and iOS platforms along with the support and development of other Faculty wide systems.

You will have a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grades A – C including Maths and English, or equivalent, NVQ2 or 3 or equivalent qualification in a Software development subject, or equivalent experience. You will have previous experience of software development, of supporting a wide variety of AV equipment, experience of using source control software in a team environment and some experience with Android/iOS app development. Other essential criteria include good communications skills and excellent team working skills.
