This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a team of staff in Keele University’s School of Computing and Mathematics. The School currently offers Single Honours and Combined Honours undergraduate programmes in Computer Science and Mathematics, MComp and MMath four year undergraduate programmes in Computer Science and Mathematics, as well as a postgraduate programme in Advanced Computer Science. The School’s research interests span a range of areas in computer science and mathematics, including fluid and solid dynamics, software engineering, medical statistics, evolutionary systems, number theory, computational intelligence, engineering mathematics, and computational biology.

You will lead and manage the Student Programmes Team to ensure a smooth and seamless delivery of support across the School’s portfolio of academic programmes. You will be responsible for the induction, on-going training and support of the Student Programmes Team, supported by the School Office Manager. You will co-ordinate and monitor the workloads, annual leave and other relevant activities for the Student Programmes Team within the School Office, monitoring their performance and providing feedback.

The Student Programmes Team Leader will act as a SCIMS database Champion for the School and he/she will also act as Programme Administrator for one of the School’s undergraduate student programmes. They will also act as Disability Champion for the School’s programmes.

You will be educated to A-level standard (or equivalent) and have four GCSE Grades A-C, including Mathematics and English (or equivalent), or an NVQ 3 in a relevant subject and/or substantial relevant work experience. Successful candidates will have recent experience of working in a similar administrative capacity/environment, where accuracy and confidentiality are paramount.

You will have excellent communication skills, high standards of accuracy and organisational skills, and be proficient in the use of Google Suite and MS Office applications. You should have the ability to plan and prioritise your own workload.
