This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a team of staff in Keele University’s Faculty of Natural Sciences. The Faculty is responsible for the School of Chemical and Physical Sciences.

The post offers an exciting opportunity to be part of an extremely busy team of technical staff, demonstrators and academic staff to support the delivery of timetabled sessions to users of the laboratories in the areas of Physics Chemistry, and Forensic Science. You will provide technical support to a wide range of practical classes particularly in Physics and Astrophysics but also in Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry and Forensic Science, assisting with laboratory preparation and helping with the running and maintenance of equipment in the Faculty’s new Central Science Laboratory and in School’s Lennard Jones building. You will have experience of working in a science laboratory and the use of scientific instrumentation and laboratory/analytical equipment. You will also provide support for the on-going development and maintenance of the School’s website content. A good communicator, you must be able to work accurately and effectively, independently and as part of a team. You must have 5 GCSE passes, or equivalent, or work experience in Physical or Chemical science laboratories.
